Python Developer + music lover

Location: Berlin

Sitting at the cutting edge of the music industry, this role will put you at the forefront of music tech in the centre of Berlin. If you have a passion for music, or just want to work in one of the coolest cities in the world, this beat is for you.

What your friends think you do:

Explain to every visiting musician that PEP 8 and The CheeseShop aren’t up-and-coming Berlin-based bands, before giving them the “bet you wish you lived in Berlin” city tour.

What you actually do:

You’ll spend your weekends karaoke-ing in Mauerpark, soaking in Berlin’s incredibly diverse culture and living it up in the world-class gig venues and clubs in every corner of the city. You'll spend your week in cross-functional teams building products that enable music enthusiasts, producers and performers to create all those tunes you can’t get out of your head.

Great if you have:

  • Fluency in English and Python (not a problem if you have a slight accent)

  • Studied computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or similar

  • Familiarity with Linux and Git

  • Experience with Atlassian Suite (Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket)

  • Knowledge of Jenkins and robot test framework

  • You have some experience with at least one of the following:

  • cloud services providers (AWS, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud Platform etc.)

  • virtualization and container technologies (Docker, Vagrant, etc)

  • microservices architecture

Even better if you have:

  • A backlog of playlists for every occasion

What’s in it for you:

  • 30 days of paid leave to travel the world, or make sweet music - it’s up to you

  • Don’t speak German? No problem, take free lessons so you can live life to the fullest in the city

  • Don’t live in Berlin? Luckily there's full relocation support

  • Expand your horizons and your “squad” in an international environment

  • Yoga lover? Join up for free classes

  • Music lover? Tons of free gig tickets, whatever your music taste
