Java Engineer – For huge scale E-Commerce Pioneers (Barcelona)

Ready to take your foot off cruise control and propel your career with Barcelona's most exciting scale up? If building software for the world's largest online grocery retailer sounds like a real challenge to you, this role is for you. You will be working on building world leading, cloud-based e-commerce, fulfilment and logistics platforms around the world.

Squeeze in the odd bit of development work whilst sipping Margaritas on one of Barcelona's beaches.


What you actually do:

Spend your weekends on the beach, eating tapas or enjoying Barcelona’s unique art and architecture, and your week working in squads, where you’re responsible for creating a backlog of new and exciting ideas, and shipping code on a global scale... No pressure!


Great if you:

  • A few years of experience in a similar position and a user-focused approach
  • Software Design skills and OOP
  • Experience in Java (all levels of experience welcome as there are several positions)
  • Are a data driven Developer
  • Passion and understanding for TDD and Clean Code

Even better if you:

  • have experience working in a continuous delivery environment

  • Have spent time in the (AWS)/Cloud

  • Own a boat. But a lilo will do
